The Rotary Club of Melbourne is very pleased to continue our decade of support for the Smith Family ‘Learning for Life’ program in 2017. Early next week Bicycle Network will go “live” in announcing the 2017 Around the Bay bike riding event. Please note in your diaries the Sunday 8 October date.
This could attract Rotary members, who are registered volunteers, to consider applying for volunteer shifts on the Bicycle Network website. However we are in negotiation with Bicycle Network to enable Rotary to do the assignment of its members directly to volunteer positions allocated to us and reduce the steps needed to complete the process. Please wait until we make a further announcement before you attempt to sign up – the outcome should be much simpler.
Any members that are keen to sign up as riders for 250 km, 100 km, 50 km, 25 km or 20 km can pass on their names to Phil Endersbee. This year we are keen to add to the band of 100 km Portsea to Melbourne enthusiasts with members and their family members signing up for the 20 km return journey between the City and Elwood Park.
Best regards from the Around the Bay Co-ordinators.
