Back in 1925 a group of prominent Bendigo businessman with the support of the Rotary Club of Melbourne got together and formed the Rotary Club of Bendigo. 90 years later this club is still thriving! In celebration of this milestone they are planning a spectacular event being held at the magnificent Capital Theatre in Bendigo with fabulous food, wine and entertainment. It will be a fantastic night of celebration and all Rotarians and friends in the district are invited to come along and celebrate their 90 years of accomplishments on Saturday 22nd August.

Turia Pitt is an Australian mining engineer, burns survivor, motvationalist and author. Pitt was competing in an ultra-marathon through WA's Kimberley region in 2011 when she was caught in a bushﬁre. She suﬀered extensive burns to 80 per cent of her body including the loss of four ﬁngers from her left hand and her right thumb, and for some time was not expected to survive.
Pitt was named the NSW Premier's Woman of the Year and she was a ﬁnalist for Young Australian of the Year. She is an Ambassador for Interplast, and she graced the cover of The Australian Women's Weekly, which attracted world wide media attention.
She is also a humanitarian, and raised close to $200,000 for Interplast by taking on a section of the Great Wall of China in 2014 and walking Peru’s Inca trail in 2015 in sponsored challenges.
