Designed to recognise members of our emergency services who exceed the normal demands of their employment and deliver “Service!Above!Self” to the benefit of the local community, the Awards are judged by a panel comprising senior officers of the emergency services and Yarra Bend Rotary officials.

Rotary Club of Albert Park 2015 Footy Breakfast    

25 September, 2015 - at the Carousel, on Albert Park lake

Special Guest Speaker, former Collingwood Premiership player, Gavin Crosisca.

All proceeds will go to a literacy program run by the club for disadvantaged children in the local area, as well as other Club projects for the local community.

Tickets are $70 for a sumptuous sit down cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. Metered parking is available at the front door and in Aughtie Drive. Start Time is 7am for 7,30 and we'll finish at 9am.

Rotary Club of Bendigo 90th Anniversary

Back in 1925 a group of prominent Bendigo businessman with the support of the Rotary Club of Melbourne got together and formed the Rotary Club of Bendigo.  90 years later this club is still thriving!  In celebration of this milestone they are planning a spectacular event being held at the magnificent Capital Theatre in Bendigo with fabulous food, wine and entertainment.  It will be a fantastic night of celebration and all Rotarians and friends in the district are invited to come along and celebrate their 90 years of accomplishments on Saturday 22nd August.

Interplast Gala Dinner - Featuring Burns Survivor Turia Pitt

Turia Pitt is an Australian mining engineer, burns survivor, motvationalist and author. Pitt was competing in an ultra-marathon through WA's Kimberley region in 2011 when she was caught in a bushfire. She suffered extensive burns to 80 per cent of her body including the loss of four fingers from her left hand and her right thumb, and for some time was not expected to survive.

Pitt was named the NSW Premier's Woman of the Year and she was a finalist for Young Australian of the Year. She is an Ambassador for Interplast, and she graced the cover of The Australian Women's Weekly, which attracted world wide media attention.

She is also a humanitarian, and raised close to $200,000 for Interplast by taking on a section of the Great Wall of China in 2014 and walking Peru’s Inca trail in 2015 in sponsored challenges.

Join Turia for a cocktail party to remember at Hilton Melbourne South Wharf on June 19th.
