One of the primary aims of the various District 9800 International Service Committees is to encourage and support District 9800 Clubs in their efforts to participate in International Service.
In pursuit of this purpose, this International Service Expo will be conducted to provide an opportunity for D9800 Clubs to share their knowledge, provide information on opportunities available, discuss successfully dealing with different cultures and outline the assistance that is available from RAWCS and The Rotary Foundation.

In May 2013, the 300-strong student body at International House College performed their annual Café International, a showcase of student talents in order to raise funds for End Polio Now and the refurbishment of student common areas. The students invited Rotarians, alumni, and distinguished guests to enjoy an evening of entertainment to the theme of La Nuit des Musées.

The Group Study Exchange program is alive and well in District 9800 as we exchange with District 1860 in the Mannheim area of Germany in 2014. The German team led by Beate Holzwarth are arriving in Melbourne late February and the Rotary Club of Brighton Beach invite you to attend the Welcome Dinner on Tuesday 25th February at 6.30 for 7.00pm at Milanos Hotel The Esplanade in Brighton.
The cost is $48 per head for a two course meal including canapes and drinks on arrival.

We need all metropolitan clubs to arrange at least 10 people to participate. This can be members of your club or from a group that can help themselves raise funds e.g. local school, Scouts, etc.

Following feedback from next year’s Club Presidents the newly formatted District Assembly will provide an opportunity for D9800 Rotarians to engage with a number of training options to be involved in conversation about programs of interest, learn how to develop Programs and learn about new projects, significant change to past District Assemblies. The Registration cost for Rotarians remains at $25.00, including lunch; only $10.00 if optional lunch is not ordered. The event begins at 9.15am with registrations being taken from 8.15am.
