Container arrives at the Sputnik International Education Centre in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka

Eshantha has emailed today to announce the arrival of the container at the Sputnik International Education Centre in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka.

[Project undertaken by Rotary Club of Flemington and Donations in Kind]

“It is with great pleasure and delight I inform you that the container arrived to Sputnik last night and we have now opened it and started unloading the stuff. It took exactly 31 days to arrive at Sputnik from the harbour. Now I understand why not many people engage in these kind of welfare activities. The documents had to go through the Department. Of Probation and Child Care services, National secretariat for NGOs, Department. of trade and investment, Ministry of finance, Central environmental authority, Sri Lanka ports authority, Sri Lanka customs and a few more authorities. Thus, I hope you understand the reason for the time taken for the documentation process until releasing the container. By looking at the stuff being unloaded I can feel the amount of work that the Flemington Rotary members have loaded into it. Thank you brothers and sisters.

Please enjoy the photos that I have attached to this mail which showcase the arrival of container and placing it on the newly constructed proposed public toilet for the children's park.”
